trying to paint this time of year can be tough.
it is so hot and the last couple of days...rain.
   have been working in the studio trying to
freshen up some older paintings and waiting
for a break in the heat so i can get outside.


this painting is a commision for a couple
getting married at the estuarium.

bath n c

this past saturday i went to bath n c to plein air paint with some freinds.

i painted the house above which according to locals was the house blackbeard used when he was in the area. i think the city of bath uses it now for storage. this is a really neat place to paint.

hot days

another hot day.....have not been able to get out and paint with this heat and the way the weatherman is talking this morning we have the rest of this week before it starts cooling some.

sorry i am late getting this out,   lets not paint this friday...it is going to be very hot for the next fey days  plus i understand the place i wanted to paint at, lots and lots of shade, is going to where a large family outing.

we will go next friday.......

friday painting 6-22-12

hi guys, this friday is going to be a hot one,  we need shade,
 so lets go over  to the 1100 block of market st.   it is the home of joe and sandra davis, this property is almost a city block with a church, out buildings and lots of shade..  will

plein air on west second st.

hi guys,  this friday lets go to mitchel norten's home on 700 west second st.
i think you will like it , one of the oldest homes in washington and great gardens, gates , stone work
in one of the oldest parts of washington.
  as you can see the above is not mitchel nortons home, that is where we painted last week
cyprus landings bay clubhouse.
  hope everyone gets a chance to go by riverwalk gallery and look at the show of plein air paintings.

plein air 6-8-12

hi guys, sorry i am late getting this out, tomorrow lets go paint in washington park on the river front.
           this is not a good day downtown....it is the first day of the summer festival which will last  all weekend.  should be nice and cool under those large trees in washington park.
